biscuit
Biscuit is a super cute and engaging mini-mule who came to us with Charley in an emergency rescue. She's a youngster by our standards and is very bonded to Charley. Her feet were in terrible shape, but she was otherwise healthy when she arrived. Since being here, she has adapted well to haltering, leading, and participating in our weekly horsemanship clinics (by watching!).

Flicka
Flicka is a Tennessee Walker who came to us with Cherokee.
She is a sweet pony who had been with the same owner for 28 years. She was very loved, and you can tell because she is kind and trusts people. She moves around great for an "old lady" and enjoys walks and grazing.
*Birthday: Likely in 1986

Irish & Candy
Irish & Candy are a bonded pair. Irish is a quarter horse and Candy is a mini horse (like Onyx and Bravo).

Jessie Jayne
Jessie Jayne is a free spirit who loves people!
She is a beautiful Arabian mix and is technically a pony at 14 hands tall. She is fast and can be very animated when she plays. She is loyal and really only wants to hang out with the other “girls”. She is extremely smart and keeps a sharp eye out for anyone who might have treats! Jesse Jayne came to us from the amazing Pegasus Project horse rescue in Ben Wheeler, Texas.
*Birthday: Likely in 2009
*Homecoming: August 6, 2016
Noah
Noah joined the herd in July 2024.
Noah is a mini donkey from Dink's family. He is very friendly and loves getting attention. He thinks he's the boss of the herd with RJ, Onyx, and Bravo, but Onyx says "nuh-uhn"... Noah joined us so that RJ could have another donkey to be his friend. Since Onyx and Bravo are bonded, they frequently left RJ out. Noah is a lot of fun and keeps us entertained. He likes playing with toys and getting his back scratched.
Noah is partially sponsored. We'd love to have someone help sponsor Noah!
*Birthday: March 3, 2022
*Homecoming: July 20, 2025
Rexi
Rexi is a draft horse and not as old as some of our other residents. She is a little shy and very sweet-natured. She gets along well with the herd and likes people, as long as they don't "sneak up" on her. She is a big horse, thanks to her draft heritage, and she loves treats!
Rexi is partially sponsored. We'd love to have someone help sponsor Rexi!
*Birthday: Likely 2011

Roux
Roux was purchased from the sale barn, but her owner couldn't afford to take care of her.
When she came to GRS, she was extremely skinny. But even in her sad state, she was friendly and engaging. Roux loves people and she loves cookies! She was supposed to be a foster...but she's here to stay. Within a few months we had her back in great shape. She and Hammy are the best of friends!
*Birthday: Likely 2004

RJ
RJ is a cute mini-donkey with a big personality who came to us with Buster in November 2024.
We lost Buster in December 2025, and RJ is now in with his BFF Noah and the Littles. RJ is a little cautious around people, but we are working to win him over! He's a talker, and you can hear his eee-awww at feeding time, and pretty much any other time that he's feeling chatty.
RJ is partially sponsored. We'd love to have someone help sponsor RJ!
