Buck
Buck is a cute, smart, and friendly buckskin quarter horse who came to us in an emergency rescue. He's well-trained and in great health.

Dallas
Dallas was a competition English eventing horse and then a lesson horse.
She came to GRS to be Angel's friend, and they are inseparable! Dallas has a big personality, loves food, and hates baths. She's a pretty girl and very friendly.

Delilah
Samson and Delilah have a story we hear too often. Dumped at the sale barn, picked up by someone who couldn't possibly care less.
Aby and I saw Samson and Delilah when we went looking for a different horse we were concerned about. We stood next to their pen for an hour, and Samson absolutely broke my heart. A huge Belgian with hips and ribs sticking out, eating from a round bale of coastal that was cow-quality and still had all the strings on. Delilah never left his side - never more than 5 feet away. She looked healthy, a solid Percheron, but with an obviously blind eye.
They are settling in at GRS and have learned that people are kind. Samson is on a long-term feedplan to gain weight, and we are posting about them often on Facebook. They both need sponsors - the rehab will be expensive, and taking care of their feet is expensive as well. We'd love to get sponsors for them both!

Dooley
Dooley is a sweet quarter horse mare who's done it all - western pleasure, cutting, playdays, and more. She's now retired and Flicka's best friend! She has DSLD and a little arthritis but is otherwise healthy.

Flicka
Flicka is a Tennessee Walker who came to us with Cherokee.
She is a sweet pony who had been with the same owner for 28 years. She was very loved, and you can tell because she is kind and trusts people. She moves around great for an "old lady" and enjoys walks and grazing.

Jessie Jayne
Jessie Jayne is a free spirit who loves people!
She is a beautiful Arabian mix and is technically a pony at 14 hands tall. She is fast and can be very animated when she plays. She is loyal and really only wants to hang out with the other “girls”. She is extremely smart and keeps a sharp eye out for anyone who might have treats! Jesse Jayne came to us from the amazing Pegasus Project horse rescue in Ben Wheeler, Texas.

Noah
Noah joined the herd in July 2024.
Noah is a mini donkey from Dink's family. He is very friendly and loves getting attention. He thinks he's the boss of the herd with RJ, Onyx, and Bravo, but Onyx says "nuh-uhn"... Noah joined us so that RJ could have another donkey to be his friend. Since Onyx and Bravo are bonded, they frequently left RJ out. Noah is a lot of fun and keeps us entertained. He likes playing with toys and getting his back scratched.

Rexi
Rexi is a draft horse and not as old as some of our other residents. She is a little shy and very sweet-natured. She gets along well with the herd and likes people, as long as they don't "sneak up" on her. She is a big horse, thanks to her draft heritage, and she loves treats!

RJ
RJ is a cute mini-donkey with a big personality who came to us with Buster in November 2024.
We lost Buster in December 2025, and RJ is now in with his BFF Noah and the Littles. RJ is a little cautious around people, but we are working to win him over! He's a talker, and you can hear his eee-awww at feeding time, and pretty much any other time that he's feeling chatty.
